When Bianca (pictured centre) first joined Vision Surveys for a Year 10 work experience placement, she had no idea it would turn into a career. Two years later, she’s now a Vision Academy cadet, working full time, studying and helping deliver projects across Central Queensland.

Before stepping into surveying, Shannon Weeks worked as a baker. It was hands-on work, but he soon realised he wanted something that challenged him in a different way. He was drawn to the idea of mixing technical skill with practical problem solving, so in 2001 he started as a part-time Assistant Surveyor while taking up formal Surveying studies. In 2003, he had completed his surveying qualification and started work fulltime as a surveyor.
