When Bianca (pictured centre) first joined Vision Surveys for a Year 10 work experience placement, she had no idea it would turn into a career. She spent her school holidays shadowing the Vision Surveys Rockhampton team, learning what surveying involved and what life on site looked like. Two years later, she’s now a Vision Academy cadet, working full time, studying and helping deliver projects across Central Queensland.

Meet Shannon Weeks, National Operations Manager at Vision Surveys

Before stepping into surveying, Shannon Weeks worked as a baker. It was hands-on work, but he soon realised he wanted something that challenged him in a different way. He was drawn to the idea of mixing technical skill with practical problem solving, so in 2001 he started as a part-time Assistant Surveyor while taking up formal Surveying studies. In 2003, he had completed his surveying qualification and started work fulltime as a surveyor.
