Vision Surveys started in Cannonvale in 2008, when Dave Wilson and a team of surveyors with 50 years of combined Queensland experience decided to do things their own way, put great surveyors on site and back them throughout the job, even when things get complicated. That's still how we work today, across civil infrastructure works, mine sites, rail shutdowns and large subdivisions all over Australia.

Life at Vision Surveys
The Vision Surveys team is spread across smaller crews from as far north as Townsville and Airlie Beach down to Melbourne, working on a wide variety of projects.
It’s not just the work that keeps people here either. Half the crew’s out fishing once their day is done before the sun’s even down. And winters here you’re in a tshirt, not a puffer jacket.

You know your way around a Leica or Trimble and you're not scared of picking up 12d, Magnet or AutoCAD if you haven't already

A surveying qualification behind you, plus runs on the board from working the role or something similar

You sweat the small stuff, because getting it wrong on site isn't really an option

You can hold your own out there but you're just as easy to deal with when there's clients and engineers in the mix
No two weeks are the same
One week you're on a mine site running a total station, the next you're back in the office processing data from a LiDAR scan, then you're out chasing a boundary that doesn't match the plans.
New to industry?
No worries, you'll have a team leader backing you from day one and a clear run from graduate surveyor through to licensed and cadastral work, all through our Vision Academy program.

You'll work across a spread of projects, from cadastral surveys to mining sites to rail shutdowns and get hands on with the latest surveying and 3D spatial technology as you go.
