3D Terrestrial Laser Scanning

Vision Surveys (QLD) specialise in 3D Laser Scanning, which is a non-contact, non-destructive technology that digitally captures the shape of physical objects using a line of laser light. 3D laser scanners create “point clouds” of data from the surface of an object, allowing the objects physical exact size and shape to be captured and transferred into a computerised 3-dimensional figure.  Our 3D terrestrial laser scanning services include:

  • As Constructed survey, reality capture or existing conditions survey;
  • Construction verification, sequencing, scheduling and simulations;
  • Design engineering for facility upgrades and/or expansions;
  • Architectural documentation or historical preservation;
  • Calculating volumes, deformation analysis and overhead clearances;
  • Virtual design and construction;
  • Collecting geospatial data, and
  • Asset management & BIM.
