Daunia Mine is located Central Queensland’s Bowen Basin 18km south west of Coppabella. Once completed Daunia will produce 4.5 million tonnes of semi hard coking coal per annum. Vision Surveys is involved in the construction of the mining infrastructure (Bridges, Roads & Services) required for the new mine for Golding Contractors & York Civil under Bechtel & BMA.

BMA Caval Ridge Mine is located south east of Moranbah in the Bowen Basin. Caval Ridge Mine will produce 5.5 million tonnes of high quality coking coal when complete. Vision Surveys is involved with BMD contractors, Thiess and York Civil constructing Buildings, Roads and Services for the new mine infrastructure.

Abbot Point owned by Adani Mining Pty Ltd located north of Bowen is going through its next level of expansion. Vision Surveys (Qld) was required on site to set out the geotechnical hole locations for the next shipping berth platform for Australian Barge Hire using jack up barges 3.5km out to sea. Whilst on site we also completed ground truthing, vegetation mapping surveys and control surveys for Adani Mining.

The Golding OHL Joint Venture is the reconstruction of 100km of the Peak Downs Highway from Mackay to Moranbah. Our company is responsible for the setup of machine guidance systems on the graders on site, maintaining the 3d models used for construction, monitoring of stabilizers on site, conformance reports for road layer thicknesses, volume computations of materials and as constructed surveys and plans of the finished surfaces.

The BMD-Acciona Joint Venture is the reconstruction of 100km of roads located in Collinsville, Clermont and the Suttor Development Road. Our company is responsible for the setup of machine guidance systems on the graders on site, maintaining the 3d models used for construction, conformance reports for road layer thicknesses, volume computations of materials and as constructed surveys and plan of the finished surfaces.

Whitsunday Springs is a large community titled development located to the west of Cannonvale. This development comprises of approximately 2000 residential allotments, several higher density unit sites as well as a town centre precinct and a 18 hole golf course. Vision Surveys Qld is completing the civil engineering surveying as well the cadastral surveying for the project. Our company director Brian Forrester is involved and consulted regularly about the complex layered community management titling issues with this project.

 

Andergrove Lakes is located in the rapidly growing northern beaches of Mackay. This development of 230 Lots integrates a lake in each precinct with a cable ski park surrounded by house allotments, multi dwelling unit sites and a resort with restaurants shops and a backpacker hostel. Vision Surveys (Qld) is involved with the developer compiling the final survey plans for the West Precinct and disclosure, staging and relevant documentation for the eastern precinct.

 

The Port of Airlie is a $500 million development with 240 marina berths, 365 designer apartments and a 140 room world class hotel. Vision Surveys (Qld) was involved with the pre-construction hydrographic surveys and the ongoing engineering surveys for Golding Contractors and Meridien.

This project was challenging as no contaminated material was allowed to leave site meaning daily volume computations completed by Vision Surveys (Qld) were a integral part of this project. Vision Surveys (Qld) also was the main surveying contractor for Hutchinson Builders who constructed the first residential/resort building "The Boathouse Apartments" on site.

Mt Whitsunday is a prestigious sea view acreage estate in the heart of Airlie Beach. Vision Consulting (Qld) obtained the development approvals and will be involved in the engineering and cadastral surveys for the final stages.

Salmon Earthmoving has the contract for rehabilitation works at Newlands Coal Mine. Salmon Earthmoving rely on Vision Surveys (Qld) for volume calculations, grade & drainage design for rehabilitation areas and compiling digital models to upload into the machine guidance systems on site.

 

Arrow International also assigned Vision Surveys (Qld) the surveying contract for the engineering setout surveys of the Blue Horizons Resort - an eight storey multi level development in Hermitage Drive, Airlie Beach.

When developing the Peppers Coral Coast Resort, Arrow International assigned Vision Surveys (Qld) the surveying contract for the engineering setout of the multi storey dwellings, roads and services required to build this project. The site was challenging with access and slope restraints and the project took several years to complete.

The Northern Missing Link project was constructed by Leightons Coal Connect for QR National. Vision Surveys (Qld) was employed by Leightons Coal Connect to assist with the initial primary control surveys, ground truthing surveys and engineering surveys required for the railway line construction.

QR National subsequently engaged Vision Consulting (Qld) to perform the boundary resumption surveys for registration with the Department of Environment and Resources Management for titling.

During this process company director Brian Forrester has developed a strong relationship with the DERM Senior Surveyors and Solicitors in regard to Leasehold and Freehold requirements for resumption surveys.

 

Vision Surveys (Qld) was subcontracted to perform as constructed surveys of exisiting high voltage powerlines and used this information to setout a duplicate line for approximately 105km from Biloela to Stanwell (near Rockhampton). This survey was completed using Static and Real Time GPS applications.

 

The Sanctuary project in Jubilee Pocket has been a successful environmentally friendly staged development with 5 stages. Vision Consulting (Qld) has been involved with the town planning, project management and feasibility studies for the final stage 5 (Approx 120 allotments).
